Asbestos Cement (Fibro Sheeting)

STEP 1: SET UP

Protecting your environment along with the safety of our workers is paramount. In order to ensure job safety we divert the down pipes to protect storm water run off. Any over hanging trees will also need to be trimmed back.

STEP 2: HAND CLEAN

A simple hand clean of any areas of large organic growth is all the preparation that is required.

STEP 3: REPAIR OR REPLACE SHEETS

Roof sheets that have cracked or have small holes can be repaired prior to encapsulation. Larger holes or broken sheets will need to be overlayed with new sheets. The new sheets are made from Zincalumne steel molded to the same profile as the fibro.

As most fibro roofs are getting older it is advisable to look at other maintenance issues such as replacement of the screws.

STEP 4: EPOXY SEALER

The two pack sealer is proven to hold the fibers together and form a hard bond over the sheet. This product is sprayed on to the roof surface.

STEP 5: TOP COAT

Two coats of the acrylic lacquer top coat are applied to the roof. Both coats are applied with a spray gun to ensure an even coverage over the entire surface.

STEP 6: RELAX

Sit back and relax knowing that Restyle has done the job that we quoted at a fixed price and cleaned up after ourselves before we left.
